Turning Off Chrome Notifications

Google Chrome has a built-in feature that allows websites to send pop-up notifications to your screen. The intention of this feature was to alert you about new information on your favourite websites. The problem is that it's a nuisance, and is often abused by unethical websites to pop-up spam or harmful messages.

Our recommendation -- turn it off!  Here's how:
  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. Paste or click on this link - chrome://settings/content/notifications
  3. Turn off Sites can ask to send notifications.
  4. Scroll down to the Allow section.
  5. Click the three dots and delete any site entries, except the mandatory Google Apps
